Jack Hourigan, the youngest of nine children, was born in Burlington, Ontario. A McGill University Alumni, Jack recently moved back to Toronto with her son after living in the United States for the last several years. While there, she hosted the national television shows How to Boil Water with Chef Tyler Florence on Foodnetwork USA, and the DIY network design series Ready as She Grows. Jack also worked on air for the Cleveland CBS and UPN affiliates WUAB/WOIO.

A Second City alumni, she wrote and appeared in three productions with Second City Cleveland; The Rivercantabury Tales, Whose Your Baghdadi? and For Those About to Iraq.. She performs and writes for Second City Entertainment in Chicago and Toronto, and recently shot their comedy pilot InsideActionNewsline. Jack can be seen in several television shows and movies, including the Sundance award winning film, American Splendor the Harvey Pekar story.

Since coming home to Canada, Jack has been busy with several projects. She is currently hosting the television show, ThreeTakes for Life Network Canada which will begin airing in the new year and She also hosted The Truth About the Sexes for W network. Jack is a freelance comedy writer for major corporations and events, including the recent Momedy campaign for Suave (

www.sayyestobeautiful.ca). She has been collaborating with fellow Second City alumni Paul Constable on the comedy series Maple Raised and her recent collection of short stories entitled, Coming Home, is a humorous and insightful look at Jack’s re-acclamation to Canadian life after nine years living south of the border.

In her spare time Jack reads anything written by David Sedaris , and religiously watches The Mercier Report and The Colbert Report. Jack lives with her wonderful son Spencer, her dog Osgoode and male cat, Kathleen.
