Plenty of Gastronomic Competition
at the All NEW Sub-Zero/Wolf Culinary Classic

(Cleveland, OH) The Fifth Anniversary of the Fabulous Food Show, the premier culinary event of the year, will be held November 12-14, 2010 at the I-X Center.  New this year is the Sub-Zerio/Wolf Culinary Classic, hosted by Michael Symon, held on Sunday, November 14 at 4pm in the Main Kitchen Theatre, featuring three of the top chefs in Cleveland.  Don’t miss this exciting culinary challenge with Dante Boccuzzi of Dante; Jonathan Sawyer of The Greenhouse Tavern and Steve Schimoler of Crop Bistro.  The Culinary Classic will also serve as the main event for a fundraising party to benefit the Cleveland Area Restaurant Association (CARA) and Autism Speaks.

The competition will take place in the Main Kitchen Theatre and each contestant must race against the clock to prepare:  An appetizer, the Chef’s choice; Entrée – Surf & Turf; and Dessert – Main ingredient must feature Ohio Apples.  Three judges (not yet named) will compare each competitor’s creation based on:

  1. Taste – 50pts
  2. Presentation – 25pts
  3. Originality – 25pts

Each judge will score independently and all scores will be added together.

“To add a little spice to this inaugural event each competitor may bring one Sous Chef and one Celebrity ‘assistant’, which will most likely be a sports or music celebrity,” said Eric German, executive show director.  “The winner of the competition will receive a commemorative Fabulous Food Show gift signed by all the celebrity chefs.  This event will be highly-entertaining and best of all it will benefit CARA and Autism Speaks.  Tickets are sure to be gobbled up fast so make plans now to get a great seat!”
