NEW Sweet Street Offers More Chocolate, Candy & Demos
Lots of ‘Good Eats’ to Satisfy All Cravings
(Cleveland, OH) The Fabulous Food Show, presented by Time Warner Cable, is back again for its fourth year, November 13-15, at the I-X Center. The Chocolate Bar has evolved into the delectable Sweet Street with more demonstrations and chocolate and candy sampling to satisfy every sweet tooth. Enjoy even more tastings throughout the day at the Market Place Stage, featuring exhibitors sampling and demonstrating their talents and products. Stroll over and relax at The Fabulous Bistro, while enjoying an appetizer, meal or cocktail.
The Sweet Street, now expanded from a Chocolate Bar area will now feature various demonstrations on stage from regional chocolate experts. In addition to the stage demonstrations there will be three interactive demo areas featuring make it and take it chocolates and confection from Catherine’s Chocolates, White Flower Cake Shoppe, who has appeared Food Network’s Cake Challenge and Ann Blackwood from Kalahari Resorts.
Ann Blackwood, pastry chef at Kalahari Resorts, is a distinguished artist with unique and extraordinary skills as a caterer and chocolatier. Blackwood's creative talent and extraordinary presentations are well-known in our area and continue to grow nationwide. She has become renowned for her unique culinary artistry in edible art composed of chocolates, sweets, and savory foods. New this year, Ann will have a life-size Gingerbread House on display and also present daily demos on how to make a Gingerbread House – perfect for the Holidays!
Watch Bev Shaffer, award-winning chef, culinary instructor, food columnist, and bakery director as she discusses her classic chocolate recipes and shows patrons how to make their special brownies even more irresistible. The White Flower Cake Shoppe will be providing demos on cupcake and cookie making.
The Market Place Stage will continue to highlight Northeast Ohio’s finest retail and cuisine. NEW this year is the Ohio Proud mobile demonstration kitchen unit, complete with full size kitchen appliances and audio visual components. This stage gives exhibitors the ability to have an interactive role with patrons and the ability to provide tastings and samplings. The Fruit Growers Marketing Association/Ohio Apples will be holding an apple cider contest on Friday, November 13 at 5:30. Come join in the fun!
If you prefer to sit down and enjoy an entire meal, visit the Fabulous Bistro which serves up a diverse menu including plated meals such as margarita pizza, teriyaki glazed salmon, assorted salads, vegetarian and smoked turkey panini sandwiches, plus much more.
